Start-up committee
The Start-Up Committee consists of six people. The committee organizes the Start-Up Competition and the promotional days of the Beta Business Days. On top of that, they assist during the Beta Business Days itself. Do you want to be part of organizing the biggest career event for all Beta students of the University of Groningen and meet people from all study associations of the FSE, TeMa and ASCI? Below are the detailed descriptions for each position:
Chairman:
– Oversee the committee’s operations, ensuring timely completion of all tasks and projects.
– Manage and facilitate committee meetings, setting clear agendas and priorities.
– Serve as the main liaison between the committee and the university, ensuring effective communication.
– Act as the central point of contact for the board, maintaining strong relationships and seamless coordination.
Secretary:
– Take accurate minutes during committee meetings, ensuring that all discussions and decisions are documented.
– Distribute meeting minutes and other important information to committee members in a timely manner.
– Organize and manage incoming emails and communication, ensuring important messages are prioritized.
– Maintain and monitor action points, keeping track of deadlines and ensuring all tasks are assigned and completed.
Treasurer:
– Manage the committee’s budget and oversee financial operations, ensuring sound fiscal planning and decision-making.
– Develop and maintain a realistic and detailed budget for committee activities.
– Track expenses and monitor financial transactions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
– Collaborate with the board’s treasurer to align the committee’s financial activities with organizational goals.
Public Relations (PR):
– Oversee and develop communication strategies targeting FSE students to promote committee events.
– Design and execute a comprehensive promotional strategy for key events like the Start-Up Competition and promotional days.
– Manage social media platforms, create flyers, and design posters to boost student engagement and excitement.
– Foster strong relationships with students through consistent, compelling communication to ensure broad participation.
Event Planner (Two Positions Available):
– Plan and manage all logistical aspects of the Start-Up Competition, including coordination with speakers and venue arrangements.
– Organize and execute event schedules, ensuring all elements of the competition are on track and well-coordinated.
– Coordinate the setup and execution of promotional days, including decorations and creating detailed event timetables.
– Ensure that all logistical aspects are smoothly executed, delivering seamless experiences for participants and attendees.
